The blanking collapse angle of metal stamping parts should be trimmed to a reasonable die clearance, so as to solve the problem of collapse angle.

The clearance value of punch and die is different according to the material and thickness

For mild steel and brass, the material thickness is 0.4 ~ 1.2mm, and the clearance value is 7% ~ 12% of the thickness (both sides), while for the same thickness, the clearance value of hard steel is 10% ~ 17% of the thickness (bilateral);

The thickness of the two-sided steel is between 2.5% and 2.5 mm;

The material thickness is 2.5 ~ 4mm, and the gap value is 12% ~ 16% of the thickness (bilateral), and the clearance value of hard steel is 15% ~ 28% (bilateral);

The material thickness is 4 ~ 6 mm, and the gap value is 15% ~ 18% of the thickness (bilateral), and that of hard steel is 27% ~ 29% (bilateral).

Therefore, the size of the gap value has nothing to do with the size of the material area, only with the thickness of the material and soft and hard. If the clearance between punch and die is adjusted, the problems of collapse angle and quality of end face will be solved.

It is difficult to make the edge of blanking products right angle, even with fine blanking die, there is also collapse angle. The second blanking can improve the edge shape, but there is still collapse angle. It is suggested to consider turning outer circle and surface grinding after blanking.
